Ups and Downs at the Nürburgring

This was the first experience for me on the famous Nürburgring GP Track. Practice has allowed us to try many things on the setup to get our car ready for qualifying. We didn't have the chance to fit on new tires prior to qualifying which made it a whole new challenge. I managed to quickly get used to the extra grip of the new tyres. I was very pleased with this qualifying session as I managed to put a strong lap in without running on new tyres in Free Practices.

Race 1 however was a bit more of a challenge. I had to defend my position for the whole stint with around 4 quicker cars behind us. The battle was tough, and we had some good overtakes. This was a massive gain of experince for me to be defending positions against the PRO ranked drivers. Defientely loads to take away from this stint. In race 2, I took the start and was very pleased with the pace as I made 10 places in my stint, and I was lapping much quicker than in Race 1. Unfortunately, we had to serve a drive-through penalty in my teammate's stint. Obviously, this is not the results we deserve and not the one we looked for. However we will stand by our grounds and we know that we have the potential, we just need to put everything together for the 2 last races in Barcelona.

I want to thank Aston Martin Racing for delivering us a great car and bring all their efforts together with AGS Events Racing. The Vantage GT4 again allowed us to fight hard and in the best conditions. It is always an honour for me to be racing on the fantastic AMR Vantage GT4.

The next round of the championship will take place in Barcelona on the 7th to 10th October.
